Measuring Method Of Customized Suit

Oct 29, 2022

Measurement is the first step in garment production, which determines the fitness of the suit. There are several forms of uniform measurement, such as suit number, tailoring, fitting and three-dimensional measurement.

1、 Report No

It is commonly used for loose clothes such as summer T-shirts and shirts. Generally, customers fill in and report to the manufacturer according to the size commonly used in the market, such as S, M, L, XL, or shirt size 39, 40, 41, plus their own height, and make them uniformly.

2、 Tailored

It is used for clothes with high fitness requirements, such as suits, suits, etc., because the manufacturer sends professional tailoring personnel to measure each person individually, collect the sizes and then make them uniformly.

3、 Suit fitting

On the basis of the measurement, prepare a suitable sample for the measured person to try on according to the size obtained, and then further confirm according to the personal dressing habits. Although this method is troublesome in preparation (it is necessary to make trial clothes with complete sizes in advance), it has a high accuracy and is suitable for large batch of clothing production.

4、 Three dimensional body measurement

3D body measurement is a part of garment CAD system. It is a method of automatic anthropometry through computer manipulation to provide basic data for suit making. It is characterized by fast and accurate, detailed data, and its limitation lies in the high requirements for equipment. It requires a special darkroom for measurement, which is not suitable for controlling the large area mobility of the measurement volume. However, with the rapid development of science and technology, it may be possible to apply the truly convenient and rapid electronic body measurement technology to the uniform production in the near future.
